Magic Happens Parade: Frozen 2 Float

For this Disneyland parade float, I led the fiberglass fabrication team, overseeing the creation of modular molds for individual components designed to bolt together seamlessly into the final structure. Working with a range of resins, silicone, and foam, I ensured each element met standards for durability, precision, and visual cohesion within a large-scale, high-profile environment.

Dry-fitting the 'water' form

Water part, complete.

The translucent water and ice components of the float were made with a urethane resin that was tinted blue. Lights were later installed for a glow effect.

De-modling the trees.

The trees were sculpted with machined foam, sanded, and filled before making a 2-part silicone mold. We created a hard outer support shell from fiberglass and resin. The trees themselves had a steel pipe core that was carefully placed into the silicone mold. We then poured a urethane expanding foam to create a structured but soft surface.

The Nerf Challenge

For the immersive Nerf Challenge installation, I contributed to the fabrication, installation, and scenic painting of interactive environments and play structures. Each component was engineered with durability and safety in mind to withstand continuous guest use within physically demanding obstacle courses and playing fields. My work focused on creating visually cohesive, high-impact surfaces that balanced aesthetic appeal with long-term functionality in a high-traffic, experiential setting.

Chicago Cubs Marquee Experience

For the Chicago Cubs Convention 2019, I contributed to the fabrication and scenic painting of multiple experiential and broadcast elements. Projects included a custom foam pit photo-op, a creative replication of the Wrigley Field marquee, and a dedicated set for live and recorded media production. Each piece was designed to balance visual impact, structural integrity, and audience engagement within a high-profile event environment.

Carnival Cruise Lines- Patch the Pumpkin Pirate

Carnival Cruise’s month-long Halloween event features this 12 foot tall figure. Guests could gather around Patch as they enjoy Scary Story Time, hosted by the cruise director.

Roughly 20 were built for the different Carnival ships participating in the event.

Close-up of body & head. This project involved several different hard-coated foam pieces that locked together with coffin locks for easy packing and shipping. Each individual piece was painted in steps, which involved strategically masking sections, HVLP paint sprayers, hand painting, and fine airbrush details.

Raging Waves Waterpark

2018. Attraction- Quokka-Nut Island.

The pieces built for this attraction were both aesthetic and practical. The sculptural elements were designed to be water features such as sprinklers, water falls and misting elements. Fabrication and paint materials had to be carefully selected to withstand chlorine, water, and year-round exposure to the elements.

2018. This piece was fabricated for the release of Taylor Swift’s “Lover” album.

Scenic Painting

This collection features theatrical scenic painting completed for a range of stage productions, alongside curated sample panels demonstrating specialized texture and finish techniques. My work emphasizes material realism, color depth, and surface durability, supporting storytelling through detailed finishes that translate effectively under stage lighting and from audience perspectives.

The design demanded painting the black box floor to have a wooden parquet floor look. The interior of the theatre had detailed, historic wooden trim and french doors. The designer requested that all trim and shelving in the scenery be painted to match in order to create a more immersive audience experience.
