About M

M is a queer, non-binary theatre artist, and has been working as a costume designer, technician, crafts person, and scenic artist for over twenty years.  They received their BFA in performance production with a focus in costume and scenic design from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA in 2014. Most recently, M completed their MFA from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, with a focus in costume design and costume technology. While receiving an education there, M discovered their love of teaching, and is pursuing a career in educating and inspiring the next generation of theatre artists.

In their free time, M enjoys spending time in nature, and making art with the treasures they find along the way. It can be described as a cross between Memento Mori and Vulture Culture.
